Yes, we’ve talked about this before. And we’ll talk about it again! Being grateful is so important!! Gratitude elevates your entire being! It elevates your thoughts and brings them up out of a place of negativity. It elevates your posture, your speech, your energy, your mood…gratitude elevates you!! We become weighed down by the struggles of life, doesn’t a little elevation sound amazing?!
In Hotmess the ladies are encouraged to keep a grateful journal. Among other things, each day they are invited to write down three (3) things they are grateful for. Three doesn’t sound like a lot, but some days it can be hard. There are days when it is hard to find at least one thing to be grateful for, but those are the days you need the gratitude even more! Heck, I’ve even just been grateful for my toenails before. There is always something to be grateful for!! Even that little moment of being grateful brought me up to a higher place where I could see other things to be grateful for.
It is not happy people that are grateful. It is grateful people that are happy.
If you want to be successful in changing your life start with being grateful! It truly is the key to happiness. It sounds simple, but it is true. Gratitude forces the negativity to run and hide. Gratitude changes your thought patterns and changes your heart. There is always something to be grateful for, even if it is just your lips or your eyes. Gratitude, no matter what for, will start a big change. Put on those rose colored glasses of gratitude and see your life as it really is… full of amazing blessings!!
Give it a try! Consistently find at least three things each day to be grateful for and see what happens!!
