Do you want to eat better? Exercise more? Or maybe you just want to wake up in the morning and like the person in the mirror. Or maybe, like me, you want all of those. Hotmess Fitness came into my life at a time when I desperately needed it. I was unhappy, unhealthy, and ready to change. I knew I needed to be able to love me for who I was now or I would never be happy no matter how healthy or fit I was. Thankfully Hotmess Fitness showed me the way!
“Be grateful for what you have while you work for what you want!”
Setting goals is nothing new. We have all heard it, we have all done it. We have all probably set goals that have gone underachieved. My goals used to be solely fitness goals. You know the ones…run so many miles in a week, lift so many pounds at the gym, work out for so many hours a week. Nothing wrong with those goals! But I want to encourage you to set a different kind of goal this week. Take a step back and think about what you really want or need. For me that was learning how to love me and that came by saying it and showing gratitude.
“grateful ❤️ that’s the start”
An important part of Hotmess Fitness are the grateful journals. Taking time each day to write down at least three things that you are grateful for makes all the difference in the world. I know it does! So, I want to issue a challenge right now. If you aren’t already (I know many of our awesome Hotmess Hotties are already doing this) writing in your grateful journal or if you don’t even have one I want you to go get one and set the goal to write at least three things you are grateful for each day! If you fully commit and make it a part of your daily routine you will see amazing things start to happen! I know I have! It doesn’t have to be a fancy journal, just something that speaks to you. When we find the things we are grateful for the negativity won’t stick around!
I still remember the days I was able to say I was grateful to be me and grateful for my body, still brings tears to my eyes.
And you want to know a secret?
When I said those things I hadn’t lost a single pound!
So set the goal, take the challenge! Go get yourself a grateful journal and fill the pages with all the wonderful things you have to be grateful for! If you need some help start with your face. Be grateful you have a face. And for an extra boost to your day write down three “I am” statements each day.
“I am amazing!”
“I am powerful!”
“I am strong!”
“I’m a Sexy Beast!”
“I am worth it!”
“I am enough!”
“I am capable!”
Go get started!!
