Hotmess is not like the others. Chances are, if you have read any of our posts you know that already. When you sign up for other 8 week challenge fitness classes there is a goal of dropping weight, losing inches, or fitting in a smaller size. At Hotmess Fitness that isn’t the case! When you sign up for the 8 week session at Hotmess there is no weighing in. You success isn’t defined by weight loss or what size you fit in when we are done. We have challenge winners, but they aren’t the ones that lose the most weight. Our challenge winners are the ones that push through those mental barriers and find their inner sexy beast!
Hotmess success if defined by that mental shift, the shift from negative self talk and doubt to confidence and gratitude. Taking those things we say to ourselves in the mirror and knowing they are true. Hotmess success is being grateful for the body we already have and showing that gratitude and love by taking care of it.

We also celebrate all those little successes, like someone touching their toes for the first time in 15 years or balancing on the ball. We cheer each other on and encourage and uplift. It is hard to find that in a regular gym!
Hotmess success has little to do with weight loss and a lot to do with love. Increased love for family, friends, neighbors, strangers, and most importantly ourselves. Love for who we are and where we are. Love for those hard things in our lives and love when it is easy. Love of pushing ourselves, seeing small victories, and burpees (ok…too far?).
So yes, Hotmess is a fitness class, but it is also so much more. It is really a life class. We Hotmess so that when we walk out those doors all sweaty and smiling we can have the mental strength and love to handle whatever life throws at us.
