Banana Nice Cream is an excellent alternative to ice cream. It is packed with all those yummy benefits of bananas and anything else you chose to add to it! You can seriously add any fruit, nut (or nut butter), grain, or seed to add texture and flavor (and healthy nutrients). Since most of us like this made simple here are a few recipes to try out!!

The method is the same so I’ll just detail it once and then give you ingredients.

Cut your bananas into pieces and freeze them (a bag is very handy). Once frozen place the pieces in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. mix in the other ingredients and enjoy!

Plain Banana Nice Cream: 2-3 overripe frozen bananas, optional milk of choice (almond milk is yummy!), if needed a pinch salt

Chocolate Banana Nice Cream: Use 3 bananas, 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract, pinch salt, and 3 tbsp cocoa powder. Add 2 tbsp peanut butter for a peanut butter cup!

Mint Chocolate Chip: 2 bananas, a pinch of salt, 1/8 tsp pure peppermint extract (or more if desired), and stir in chocolate chips or cacao nibs after blending. Optional: a pinch of spirulina or a small handful spinach for color and an extra nutrient boost.

Vanilla Bean: Use 3 bananas, a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste.

Almond Joy: Make plain banana nice cream above. Add 2 tablespoons of toasted coconut, 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips, and 1 tablespoon of chopped almonds to a medium bowl and sprinkle on top.

Banana Cherry Chocolate: 2 frozen bananas, 1 1/2 cups cherries, pitted and frozen (divided), splash of unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk, scant 1/4 cup dark chocolate chunks (70% +), cacao nibs or raw chocolate chips

You get the idea right? Just make the plain banana NICE cream and then add whatever you want! Go try some!!
