We share a lot of healthy tips on here each week. Some are simple and some are a little more complex. Today I want to remind you about the importance of not stressing about your nutrition and most importantly don’t let yourself feel guilty for the occasional indulgence.

So many of us feel like we’ve messed up our whole day of healthy eating with a treat. You can’t give in to that way of thinking. Remember, mentally strong right!! A treat is not the end of the world and you have way more important things to worry about…like your family and your grateful journal. And I really hope you don’t let a treat during the day send you into a spiral of giving up and eating junk the rest of the day. That happens far too often. Eating that cookie or piece of cake does not ruin all the healthy eating you have done during the day, that is a big fat lie told by the one that would see us fail. The adversary wants us to feel defeated by a bowl of ice cream. He wants us to look in the mirror and see a failure. You are not a failure!! It is possible to eat healthy daily and still enjoy a little yumminess now and then.

Unless you stole it, eating any food should feel guilt free.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, when you feel the craving for sweets do your best to find a healthy version. But, and I mean this, if you don’t or can’t find the healthy version that is ok! Enjoy and move on to the next healthy meal feeling satisfied and empowered. No guilt! Guilt keeps us stuck in feelings of not being enough and feeling worthless…which we know isn’t true! You are enough!! You are worth it!!

Here are a couple of recipes for some treats to try!

1 c. Mashed banana (about 2 bananas )

1 c. Oats

2 TBSP pure maple syrup

Chocolate chips

Bake at 375 for 15 mins

Or if you are craving something a little less healthy you can grab a cake mix (any kind) and mix it will a small can of pumpkin and chocolate chips. Bake cookies at 350 for 15 minutes.

Keep doing your best and remember that that is enough!!
