How many times have you thought of something you really wanted to do and you talked yourself out of it? What about during a workout you started doubting your ability to finish strong?

Our thoughts are very powerful. They can either propel us forward or hold us back. When we are faced with a challenge it is natural for our thoughts to try and talk us out of it. So at Hotmess we like to yell “Don’t think just do!” as a reminder that we need to just get to work and stop worrying about how hard it may be or if we can do it or not.

The more time we spend thinking about something the less likely we are to actually do it.

So the next time you are faced with a challenge remind yourself to stop thinking about it and just do it. If that last rep seems impossible and your mind says you can’t finish it, stop thinking and get to work. Don’t let those negative thoughts keep you from accomplishing goals and dreams. Remember when Thumper told Bambi that he was taught if he couldn’t say something nice than he shouldn’t say anything at all? The same thing applies here, if you can’t think something nice you are better off just not thinking and getting to work.
